This is a regular monthly work party during the growing season. If we clear weeds once a month, there won't be many at any given time.   

We'll trim invasive weeds from community property: 

• Blackberries, Scotch broom, thistle, and poison hemlock from the beach park
• Willow and blackberries from the path west of Lincoln Street, including the boardwalk

We'll also weed around the fire pit.

What to wear

Wear enclosed shoes or boots, long-sleeved clothing, long pants, sunglasses or eye protection, and work gloves to protect against blackberry thorns, thistle spines, and contact with poison hemlock. 

What to bring

Bring loppers, shovels, or other tools for digging or cutting weeds. 

We'll burn weeds in the beach park fire pit whenever the county has not declared a burn ban. Those who help are welcome to bring dry yard waste to burn. If you bring yard waste, please also bring a bucket or sprinkling can of water to put out the fire when we are done.
